Festival 2014

The 22nd Annual Mangotsfield Village Festival – Sat 14th June 2014

Cleve Rugby Club 11am – 9.30pm  – Download the Mangotsfield Festival Flyer

2014-flyerWe look forward to seeing you at the 22nd Mangotsfield Village Festival on 14th June 2014.  The Festival is one of a kind – a community event organised by volunteers from the local community for the people of Mangotsfield,  Emersons Green and other parts of the local area.  There will be lots of exciting things for all the family including live music, a hobbies  tent, fairground rides, craft stalls, playbuses, Chuffy the land train and a firework display followed by England’s world cup game against Italy.

The Festival is a celebration of new and traditional music, song and dance which brings local groups, organisations and churches together in a great display of community spirit to offer a day of entertainment for all ages.

The day begins at 10.00am on the village green opposite the Lamb pub.  Madeline our Town Crier will introduce the winners of the King and Queen competition.  The parade will move off from the green at 10.30am and will include children from local Schools, Scout Groups  and organisations.  We will wind our way up through the village arriving at Cleve rugby club for the opening ceremony at 11am.

Various local musicians, dancers and entertainers will keep us entertained during the day and evening – please take time to visit the craft stalls many run by local groups. As we made a loss on the festival last year and due to rising costs we have introduced a £1 admission fee, this will cover up to 6 accompanied children.

We would like to thank South Gloucestershire Council and Mangotsfield Rural Parish Council for their help in funding the event again this year.

We hope the weather will be as brilliant as it was in 2013.

If you have any suggestions or queries about the festival please contact chair@mangotsfieldfestival.co.uk or mobile 07765 201435.
