3 Groups in Mangotsfield and Emersons Green are hundreds of pounds better off this year thanks to a donation from the Mangotsfield Festival.

The Festival is a non profit organisation and last year was so successful that the festival committee was able to give back to the local community £1000. Last year the committee donated £500 for improvements to the swimming pool at Barley Close and wildlife garden and this year’s beneficiaries are.

The Blackhorse Karate Dojo which runs classes for both girls and boys from age 5 to adult which received £500 to buy mirrors.

The Mangotsfield Girl Guides who were given £300 for sports and games equipment.

And

Emersons Green Whist club who collected £200 to buy card tables.

These groups cover every age group and benefit a broad section of the community.

This year the free festival is on June 14^th at Cleeve Rugby Club with live music, dance, fairground rides, fireworks and many other attractions. Once again in the following months the festival committee will be looking to make further grants to local organisations. Support the festival, support local life.
