NEXT YEAR'S FESTIVAL!

We had these great bands perform at Mangotsfield Village Festival 2010

The Canes

The Canes are a 5 piece from Mangotsfield, who have been rocking out all over Bristol for the last 5 years. A mixture of Rock, Pop and Blues, catchy keys and gutsy guitar make The Canes well worth a listen.

Conspiracy

CONSPIRACY are a local rock band comprising 4 teenagers, Luke, Sophie, Kirk and Cameron all from the Downend/Emersons Green area.  They play a mixture of their own material as well as covers.  They have just recorded a CD titled "This is Conspiracy".

Dr Hutch and the Resistance

One of Bristol’s best loved cover bands. We have played a ton of weddings and events over the last couple of years....tearing up the South West basically!   We play proper songs you can dance to from the 60’s to the present day in the Rock, Pop and Soul vein (Four Seasons to Modjo, U2 to Scissor Sisters, Beatles to the Kaisers and all points in between!). Our singer and keyboard player Chris Hutch is the beating heart of the band, and it’s his soaring vocals that mark us out from the rest. Propelled by Henry’s spectral shuffling grooves and Jay’s rock solid bass lines, it’s left to Charlie complete the picture with some tasty chunks of white chocolate guitar..

Franky Johns

Frankie has been entertaining in Pubs Clubs and Holiday Venues for the last fifteen years after leaving a top function band.

Frankie has always found time to raise money for Charities and the last few years has registered with Help For Heroes supporting our Wounded Soldiers.

Armands All Stars

" Yes they really are ALLSTARS, all 9 of them ! a classy old school mix of
R'n'B, Ska, and real Soul played by a Big Band of some of the best musicians the
Southwest has to offer"

Sam And Amy

Sam Goodway and Amy Joyce make up this easy-listening acoustic duo. Their mixture of classic covers and original songs, complete with Sam's fine guitar playing and Amy's singing (and the occasional ukulele appearance), create a cheerful atmosphere that is sure to you get you in the mood for summer!

Freefall

The band previously known as Anastasia, they are still stubbornly billed as such whenever they play a certain favorite venue in this neck of the woods. The boys gig so frequently in Downend and along the Fishponds Road and have done so for so long that they've all but been adopted as locals even though four out of the five of them hail from somewhere up the M5 (Gloucester way, or thereabouts). Their set is an eclectic collection of covers, from Van Morrison through to Snow Patrol, Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Killers, the Undertones to the Kings of Leon, with any number of interesting diversions along the way. All of it delivered with an honest energy, commitment and drive that marks them up as an act seriously not to be missed.
